Sexual sins are sins against ourselves. Every time we look at impure images, we ‘burn’ them into the memory banks of our minds. These will never be forgotten. This verse is a great verse to think about as we contemplate sin.
I Cor 6:18-20 says, “Shun immorality. Every other sin which a man commits is outside the body; but the immoral man sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you; which you have from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. So glorify God win your body.”
Sin lives embedded inside each of us. Sin has it’s own desires, lusts and passions. When we listen or obey sin, we will be led into all kinds of disobediences. We must not let it reign or rule or govern us.
